The breeding year is comming to an end for most of us. Many of my hens are on nest or severly molting and most of the others will stop laying soon.
This is the time that your hens need to replenish their bodies with nutrients and CALCIUM! Give them the best feed you can afford, all the fresh water they can drink and FREE CHOICE OYSTER SHELL.
If possible house your breeding roosters away from the hens as they molt, they will be calmer and can relax for a few months until the new breeding year starts. In addition if you keep the roos separate all of the hens will be cleaned out incase you decide to breed to a different rooster.
Hope all of you had a great breeding season!
