If I took pictures of my two week old birds, do you think you could possibly help me to identify what breeds they are? All of them have wing feathers now. Some that I thought were the same breed are turning out to have differently marked wings. I know, I am too anxious to find out. If I wait long enough, I will know for sure!

Two weeks is a little early, I have six week old chicks and if I didn't know what they were I think it would be hard to tell. But go ahead and get the pictures up maybe someone will be able to identify them.

ok first, you might be best to take individual pictures of the chicks to make this easier. and as for your rooster he looks like a mutt to me, looks a little big to be bantam

LOL! Well, I was told he was a bantam. He isn't as small as all the bantams I have ever seen but... whatever. He is my smallest roo though, about half the size of my others which are a Blue Andalusian, RIR, Buff Orp, and a Black Aust (I think). He looks too big to be a BA actually. But has too much tail to be a Jersey Giant. He's nice though! Perfectly black with wonderful irridescent green tint.

Do you see the black ones with the white wings? Well, I have some other black ones that have part of their wing is black with just the outer feathers being white and then some with solid black wings. The thing with these is that they all looked exactly alike when I first got them, these black ones with white facial markings. The red ones have a spangle type coloration and closely resembled the chicks of a Red Cap. Modern BB OE game chicks (what they looked like) have a stripe down the head and back but the same spangling on the wings. Kinda resembling a silver spangled hamburg type of wing coloration, are the silver/white and black chicks. No telling. As was said by someone else, they have six week old chicks and still can't tell what they are..

I have no idea... LOL! I ordered a mix from McMurray with no guarentees except that they would be standard breeds and maybe some rare ones thrown in. LOL! Got at a really good price ;D So far, from what I can tell, the possibilities are as follows: for red/brown ones:Speckled Sussex, brown leghorn, silver leghorn, red cap, modern BB red game, auracana black w/ white ones: Black Jersey giant, black australorps, columbian rock, barred rock, silver spangled hamburg, white face black spanish, There are two different styles of the black/silver ones. Some have solid black with white, others are more silver with black stripes on the back. The feathers of the mostly black ones are very different. As in the picture, you can see some of the more solid black ones actually have white wings while others have just the end feathers white and yet others have solid black wings. The striped ones have a spangled look to the wings. Among the red type there are at least two different kinds there as well. While both types have spangled type wings, one is darker and with a striped head while the lighter colored one does not have a striped head. None of them have masks really. Just pretty solid faces. Not sure how I would get good pics of them as I would need someone to hold them... LOL! Just me here right now...

well if you can get any individual pictures of the various breeds, then just send them to my email and i can sort through them there. Another ide is going to www.feathersite.com and click on the link called "chicks" and then click on the breeds that you think they are and see if they resemble your chicks. heck i'll just give you the link www.feathersite.com/Poultry/BRKBabyChicks.html

Ok, I am pretty certain I can narrow it down to these breeds:
Araucana, Australorp, Brown leghorn, Speckled Sussex
Based upon the chicks I saw at the feathersite, which they didn't have all the breeds with chick pics.
