its saddle will be long?It would take 7-8 months at least or am I missing something? Like the crele phoenix what tip did you see that said to you yes he will have a long saddle?What am I missing that you are not? I look at my birds and see the birds are in blood feathers and they are at different lengths at 6 months old. It looks like the sumatra will have long saddles and the yokohamas will have longer tails then the sumatra but the saddles are slower.

It's all a waiting game. I know what my birds are bred out of so I know they will have longer than average saddles but you don't know until they grow out Almost every bird that I've hatched this year has saddles approching the ground, this is what I'm breeding for but you still can't tell just by looking, you have to know how the parents performed and even then you may get some with shorter saddles (although they should not be as short as standard birds) Mark
